A Fried Rice or A Fried Noodle? (Reading Level 2)



Riska has a friend. His name is Kondar. Riska likes fried noodle. She doesn’t like fried rice. Kondar likes fried rice, but he doesn’t like fried noodle.

One day, Riska asked Kondar a question, “Have you tried fried noodle?”

Kondar said no, but he decided to try. They went to Chinese restaurant. They bought fried noodle. 

Kondar saw Riska used chopsticks to eat. Riska was very good at using her chopsticks. Kondar wanted to try chopsticks too. He tasted fried noodle. Kondar liked it.

Kondar asked Riska, “Have you tasted fried rice?”

Riska said she didn’t. Next week, they went to restaurant near Riska’s house. For the first time, Riska ate fried rice. Her eyes closed. She tried to taste it.

“I think fried rice is so delicious.”

Bahasa Indonesia:
Riska mempunyai seorang teman. Namanya Kondar. Riska suka mie goreng. Dia tidak suka nasi goreng. Kondar suka nasi goreng, tapi dia tidak suka mi goreng.

Suatu hari, Riska bertanya pada Kondar, "Apakah pernah mencoba mi goreng?"

Kondar menjawab tidak, tetapi dia memutuskan untuk mencoba. Mereka pergi ke restoran cina. Mereka membeli mi goreng.

Kondar melihat Riska memakai sumpit untuk makan. Riska sangat mahir memakai sumpit. Kondar ingin mencoba sumpit juga. Dia merasakan mi goreng. Kondar menyukainya.

Kondar bertanya pada Riska, "Kamu pernah mencoba nasi goreng?"

Riska menjawab tidak. Seminggu kemudian, mereka pergi ke restoran cina dekat rumah Riska. Untuk pertama kalinya Riska makan nasi goreng. Dia memejamkan mata. Dia merasakannya.

"Aku rasa nasi goreng sangat enak."
